Who we are
Verbench is a trading name of Sugar Social Networks Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 12497429), registered office 17 Green Lanes, London, England, N16 9BS. We are the data controller for the details you give us on this website. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration reference ZC257586.

What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- your name
- your work email address
- your company name
- whether you're a recruiter or an employer
- if you choose to tell us: which roles you hire for, and your country
- the date and time you signed up, which page you used, and when you confirmed your email address
To stop spam, we also keep a one-way coded (hashed) version of your IP address for up to 24 hours. We can't turn it back into your IP address, and we don't store the address itself.
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or any tracking.
Confirming your email
After you sign up, we send you one email with a confirmation link. You're only added to the waitlist once you click it. If you don't confirm within 30 days, we automatically delete your details.
Why we collect it
We use your details only to contact you about Verbench's launch, for example to tell you when it opens, or when assessments for the roles you hire for become available. We won't sell your details or share them for marketing.
Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist and confirming your email address. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing privacy@verbench.com. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything we did before you asked.
How long we keep it
If you don't confirm your email address, we delete your details after 30 days. If you do confirm, we keep them until 12 months after Verbench launches, or until you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first. Then we delete them.
Who else handles it
Our website and email are hosted by A2 Hosting on servers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. A2 Hosting stores the data for us and doesn't use it for its own purposes. Your details stay in the UK and the European Economic Area.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you. To do this, or to be removed from the waitlist, email privacy@verbench.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
